“I am deeply saddened to learn about the sudden, unexpected and untimely demise of Admiral VK Sir, who was many years senior and so was a mentor. He was a remarkable human being who inspired his subordinates to strive for intellectual excellence. I had the privilege of working with him when he was in the Centre, and I was in OTS, and later in the DGMS (Army) Directorate. Being from hospital administration, we later, over the years, met many times during conferences and exchanged WhatsApp messages, though occasionally. I am unaware of what led to his demise, but I accept it as God's will. I am sure being the wonderful human being that he was, Almighty will give him his final resting place at His feet.
