What is InnoBRIDGE Sweden 2019?

InnoBRIDGE is an initiative of InnovatioCuris (IC) along with its Swedish partners, Business Region Gothenburg and Swecare, where the primary aim is to create a seamless access platform for the Indian healthcare stakeholders to the Swedish healthcare stakeholders, to strengthen the healthcare collaboration between Indian healthcare organisations and the Swedish organisations and showcase the best of Swedish healthcare to the Indian delegates.

Under this, an Indian delegation visited Sweden in May 2019. This visit was a customized program basis the requirements of the delegation from India and Swedish offerings.

He is a molecular biologist by training and and had previously been the Assistant Director at Kalam Institute of Health Technology, the pioneering healthtech policy institute facilitated by the Department of Biotechnology. He has a decade long experience at institutes of eminence like the Lerner Research Institute, Cleveland Clinic; Agency for Science Technology and Research and National University of Singapore. His primary focus of interest is healthcare innovations from startups scalability, manufacturing, market access and Preferential Market Access in large populations and developing country markets.

She is pursuing her Master in Public Health (MPH) from Rutgers School of Public Health, New Jersey, US and has degree of MBA in hospital & health care management. Assessor of Healthcare Excellence Award, certified Bronze and Green belt in Lean Healthcare by Cardiff University, UK and had been part of Joint Commission International (JCI) Standards program. She has authored chapter on ‘Indovation’ in award winning book “Innovations in Healthcare Management: Cost Effective and Sustainable Solutions” and a chapter in another book “Planning and Designing Healthcare Facilities - A Lean, Innovative, and Evidence-Based Approach” both published in USA. Written number of articles on Healthcare innovations and technology.

Mr. Rajesh R. Singh is a social entrepreneur, public health, civic participation and Non- Profit sector specialist, with close to three decades of management and programmatic experience. He currently is the Chief Functionary of WISH. Prior to joining LEHS/WISH, Rajesh was working as a Chief Operating Officer for a Non-profit institution active in South and South East Asia and South East Africa. His professional experience is founded in multi-sectoral responses to community development, public health, education and livelihood issues in Asia and Africa. Before returning to India, Rajesh worked in southern and western Africa and has led various institutions in leadership positions including that of Deputy/Country Director. He excels at developing new partnerships and building stakeholder relations and has proven success in mobilizing resources and managing grants. He is committed to critical self-reflective practice, love facilitation and learning, and has a wealth of experience in monitoring and evaluating international development programs. He has been part of various national core committees developing strategic guidelines and framework on public health issues.

Rohini Pimple is the Director of Lifesciences at RICH (Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad). RICH, a one-of-its-kind initiative of the Telangana State government in India, facilitates the process of taking research to market. RICH endeavours to foster greater collaboration between industry, entrepreneurs, startups and academic/research institutions for an effective innovation ecosystem. Prior to RICH, Rohini has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over a decade in R&D and Intellectual Property Management roles. She holds a postgraduate degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Pune University and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Sachin Gaur is double masters in mobile security and cryptography from Aalto University, Finland and University of Tartu, Estonia. He has been a keen technology innovator with 11 technology patents granted at USPTO. He has also contributed chapters in three books on Innovation and Healthcare. He received top 10 innovators award in India under IIGP 2013 and attended certificate program of Global School of Business, Stanford University, USA as an awardee.

He is active in the space of AI and information security in the areas ICT and health sector. He has a special interest in the topic of diabetes with a cause project: www.ExperimentsWithSugar.in.

Dr Sandeep Bhalla

Dr. Bhalla, an Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune alumni did his MD, DNB in Community Medicine/Public Health and awarded Fellowship in Leadership and Implementation Sciences to address NCDs in India (PH-Leader) jointly delivered by PHFI, Emory University and INSP Mexico under NIH grant. He worked with VMMC, Safdarjung Hospital, National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), DFID Technical Support unit RCSHA & IIHMR, Delhi and has vast experience of 16 years in Public health program implementation and management. He made operational guidelines for Program managers for implementation of RTI/STI services in India along with team at NACO. He also made database of HIV/AIDS and STI Indian research studies which is collation of more than 8000 research studies.

Currently he is Director, Training in PHFI. He is leading the capacity building initiatives for Primary care physicians in chronic disease management and injuries (Diabetes, GDM, Thyroid, Cardiovascular, COPD, Hypertension and Disaster Management) along with a dedicated team of 45 colleague's. He is also assessor for National Accreditation Board of Hospitals, Quality Council of India. He has won various awards nationally and internationally. He has around 35 publications and he has been instrumental in forging strategic alliances of PHFI with states, regional and global health networks and Institutions.
